Vertex Pharmaceuticals (VRTX) said Monday it signed a letter of intent with the pan-Canadian Pharmaceutical Alliance for its cystic fibrosis therapy Alyftrek.
The agreement covers the triple-combination therapy for patients aged 6 years and older with at least one F508del mutation or another responsive CFTR mutation.
Vertex said it will now begin discussions with provincial and territorial governments to support the public listing of Alyftrek through publicly funded drug programs across Canada.
Shares of the company were down nearly 1% in Monday trading.
