Syntara's (ASX:SNT) positive headline results from a Phase 2 trial of its experimental drug for isolated REM Sleep Behaviour Disorder (iRBD) indicate that the trial objectives were met, Euroz Hartleys said in a note on Monday.
The investment firm said the encouraging results confirm that the drug candidate SNT-4728 is safe and well-tolerated.
The trial also enrolled iRBD patients who are at a high risk of developing Parkinson's, making the findings more relevant to the drug's potential use in Parkinson's disease.
The brokerage sees a significant potential market opportunity due to the lack of approved treatments for iRBD.
Euroz Hartleys maintained a speculative buy rating on Syntara with a price target of $0.16.
