Greenland Mines (GRML) said Friday that its biotech division was granted a patent by IP Australia covering Klotho gene therapy technology for the treatment of neuromuscular diseases.
The patent, entitled "Treatment of Neuromuscular Diseases via Gene Therapy that Expresses Klotho Protein," protects the use of human gene therapy using a muscle-cell specific promoter linked to a nucleic acid gene sequence encoding the human Klotho s-KL protein for treating motor impairment, the company said.
Shares of Greenland Mines were 1.4% higher in premarket trading.
