Levi Strauss & Co.'s shoppers -- including those focused on the lower end of its offerings -- remain resilient, according to CEO Michelle Gass. Sales for Levi's signature brand, which has more affordable price points than its premium offerings, rose 9% in the first half of this fiscal year. The company expects that growth to accelerate in the back half, Gass says. "On the health of that value-based consumer, we're optimistic there. And in fact, I think overall, our consumer is proving to be quite resilient," she says during a call with analysts.
