FreeCast (CAST) launched FreeCast Cities, a direct-to-consumer streaming platform offering localized streaming services across all 210 US designated television markets, the media technology company said Thursday.
The beta platform combines local TV, free ad-supported streaming channels, premium TV services, on-demand content and subscription management in a single interface, the company said.
FreeCast plans to roll out the service on a market-by-market basis as commercial agreements and broadcaster participation are finalized, it added.
Shares of FreeCast were up 4% in recent Thursday premarket activity.
