Nokia (NOK) said Thursday that its defense business and NestAI are building capabilities for artificial intelligence-enabled defense operations under their technology partnership.
The parties are working to integrate Nokia's 5G networks with NestAI's NestOS for modern battlefield operations, supporting command and control, autonomous systems, and reducing reliance on fixed communications infrastructure.
Nokia's radio-network planning models will be integrated into NestOS mission-planning tools, enabling assessment, planning, and connectivity, they said.
The companies said they will also combine Nokia's Integrated Sensing and Communications early-detection capability with NestAI's multi-sensor tracking to provide operators with earlier, wide-area threat awareness.
Nokia shares were up 2% in Thursday's premarket activity.
