VisionWave (VWAV) said Tuesday it has filed a US provisional patent application for SkyWeave, an AI-driven high-frequency communication system designed to provide long-range connectivity without satellites, cellular networks or traditional infrastructure.

SkyWeave uses AI and adaptive software to support resilient communications in infrastructure-limited environments, with potential applications in defense, emergency response and autonomous systems, the company said.

VisionWave said it filed the patent application with the US Patent and Trademark Office on July 1, and that it plans to file a non-provisional patent application in the coming months.
