Viavi Solutions (VIAV) said Tuesday that it has been awarded $1.1 million in funding from the European Smart Networks and Services Joint Undertaking and Horizon Europe to support the Shield-6G project.
The company said the project would develop an artificial intelligence-driven cyber threat intelligence platform for 6G networks.
Viavi said it will use its TeraVM AI RAN Scenario Generator to develop digital twins for testing and validating AI-based security models before commercial 6G deployment.
