Eurozone Government Bond Yields Rise, Tracking U.S. Treasury Yields

0652 GMT - Eurozone government bond yields rise in opening trade, tracking the direction of U.S. Treasury yields. Yields rise due to higher oil prices, although Tuesday's below-forecast U.S. inflation data pulled U.S. and European 10-year yields away from eight-week highs. Longer-dated yields fell by less than their shorter-dated counterparts. This reflected both comments from Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh, where he reaffirmed his commitment to price stability in testimony to Congress, and elevated oil prices due to military attacks in the Middle East, analysts at KBC Bank say in a note. The 10-year Bund yield rises 3.3 basis points to 3.105%, according to Tradeweb. (emese.bartha@wsj.com)
