UroGen Pharma (URGN) said Wednesday it has received a US patent allowance covering methods of treating patients with recurrent low-grade intermediate-risk non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer with Zusduri and investigational candidate UGN-103.
The patent allowance is supported by data from two clinical trials and cover treatment without transurethral resection of a bladder tumor, the company said.
The patent, once issued, is expected to expire in July 2044, UroGen said.
Shares of the company were 1.1% higher in premarket activity Wednesday.
