Cobre (ASX:CBE) said its Sierra Atacama Copper Project in Chile's Antofagasta Region continues to operate normally and has not been impacted by the severe winter storm affecting central and southern parts of the country, according to an Australian bourse filing on Thursday after market hours.

The underground mine and fully commissioned solvent extraction-electrowinning processing plant continue to operate at normal rates, with the operational turnaround progressing as planned, including the ramp-up of copper cathode production and the return to positive operating cash flow, the filing added.
