American Express (AXP) and Bottomline have agreed to a partnership that will see Bottomline's Paymode integrated into American Express Buyer Initiated Payments, its B2B payment platform, through a new feature called BIP Connect, Bottomline said Tuesday.

The integration will provide eligible American Express BIP customers with authenticated payments backed by Paymode's multi-layer fraud controls and seamless access to Paymode's vendor network, according to Bottomline.

Financial details related to the partnership were not disclosed.
