Trek Metals (ASX:TKM) said visual manganese was logged in 43 out of 51 additional reverse circulation drill holes targeting induced polarization chargeability anomalies at the Kuro manganese discovery, part of the Christmas Creek project in Western Australia, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.

This included 15 meters of visual massive and semi-massive manganese from 11 meters down-hole in a drill hole, within a broader zone of 21 meters from 10 meters down-hole, as well as 14 meters of visual massive and semi-massive manganese from 6 meters down-hole in drill hole, within a broader zone of 14 meters from 6 meters down-hole.

The results validated induced polarization survey as a highly effective targeting methodology, per the filing.

The reverse circulation drill rig is now testing prospective gold, copper-gold, and rare earth element soil anomalies before moving to the Coogan target, the company said.

Trek Metals' shares were up nearly 2% in recent trading on Thursday.
