RTX subsidiary Raytheon said the U.S. Navy has awarded it a $1.8 billion contract extension for its SPY-6 radars.
The deal builds on an initial hardware production and sustainment contract awarded back in March 2022. Options on the contract, if exercised, would bring the overall contract value to $3.3 billion.
Raytheon's SPY-6 radars are now on two commissioned U.S. Navy ships and has been installed on 11 others that are undergoing various stages of testing.
