Cirrus Logic (CRUS) received a research and development grant from Scottish Enterprise to support smart energy technology and expand advanced engineering in Scotland, according to a Thursday statement.

Financial details were not disclosed.

Cirrus Logic said the funding will support the development of a platform that will deliver energy measurement and metrology calculations for smart power metering applications.

The project is expected to run through 2028, the company added.
