Shares of Kaiser Aluminum rose after the company raised its fiscal 2026 guidance as aerospace demand and strong consumer activity drove second-quarter growth.

The stock was up more than 12% to $184.48 in recent trading, and rose 61% since the start of the year.

The aluminum products manufacturer posted second-quarter net income of $96.8 million, or $5.72 a share, up from $23.2 million, or $1.41 a share, a year earlier.

Adjusted earnings per share were $5.53. Analysts polled by FactSet expected $2.66.

Sales rose 53% to $1.26 billion. Analysts polled by FactSet expected $1.12 billion.

Chief Executive Keith Harvey said higher-value packaging mix, improving aerospace demand, favorable scrap spread and strong customer activity drove meaningful growth.

Kaiser expects fiscal 2026 conversion revenue to be at the high end of its previously stated range of 10% to 15% year-over-year improvement. It also raised its adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization outlook to a range of 45% to 55% year-over-year growth.
