Coinbase Global (COIN) plans to expand its Singapore workforce to about 200 employees by the end of 2026 from around 150 currently, despite broader global job cuts, The Business Times reported Wednesday, citing Singapore Country Director Hassan Ahmed.

The crypto exchange expects hiring to focus on engineering, customer service, relationship management and institutional sales, and has opened a new Singapore office at One Raffles Quay, according to the report.

Ahmed told the newspaper that Coinbase remains confident in Singapore as a strategic hub, citing its clear regulatory framework and growing demand for digital assets across Asia, the report added.

Coinbase Global did not immediately respond to requests for comment from MT Newswires.
