Broken Hill Mines (ASX:BHM) said targeted drilling below the Globe-Vauxhall shear at the Rasp mine in New South Wales intersected a 40-meter-wide mineralized zone of high-grade silver-lead-zinc, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.

It encountered intercepts of 25.8 meters at 11.7% zinc-equivalent and 323 grams per tonne grade of silver-equivalent, including 39 g/t grade of silver, 2.3% lead, 7.9% zinc, 0.2% copper, and 0.1 g/t grade of gold, from 415.1 meters.

The intercept is around 500% wider and 27% higher grade in the location compared to the Centenary zone's 2024 mineral resource estimate. Additional drilling is underway into the zone to confirm the discovery.

Its shares rose 1% in recent trading on Thursday.
