RTX (RTX) said Wednesday its Pratt & Whitney unit won more than 800 orders and commitments for its GTF engines since the start of the year.

Total worldwide requests for the equipment have now exceeded 14,000 from over 90 different buyers, the company said.

The hardware uses up to 20% less fuel and generates 75% less noise compared to older models, RTX said.
