Wyndham Hotels Raises Outlook

Wyndham Hotels & Resorts raised its full-year outlook, citing rising revenue per available room in the U.S.

The hotel franchisor reported a profit of $102 million, or $1.36 a share, compared with a profit of $87 million, or $1.13 a share, a year earlier.

Adjusted earnings were $1.48 a share, compared with analysts' expectations of $1.41 a share, according to FactSet.

Revenue fell 6% to $375 million, and analysts polled by FactSet expected $400.7 million.

Wyndham said U.S. revenue per available room rose 2% from a year earlier, while global RevPAR fell 1% as international markets softened.

The company narrowed its outlook for global revenue per available room growth to flat to 1%, from negative 1% to 1%. They also lifted the low end of its net revenue guidance to $1.48 billion to $1.50 billion, from $1.47 billion to $1.50 billion.
