CITIC Securities' (SHA:600030, HKG:6030) unit, China Asset Management, recorded a preliminary net profit of 1.41 billion yuan for the first half, according to a Monday disclosure on the Shanghai bourse.

The securities company's Shanghai and Hong Kong shares both rose 1% at the close.

Operating revenue in the same period was 5.71 billion yuan.

The company holds a 27.8% equity in China Asset Management.
