Nuwellis (NUWE) said Tuesday it is expanding into Wisconsin with the installation of its first Aquadex SmartFlow system at a pediatric healthcare institution.

The new system installation will support clinical pathways and integrate Aquadex therapy into the hospital's pediatric care program, the company said.

The Aquadex SmartFlow System provides precise ultrafiltration therapy for adult and pediatric patients weighing 20 kilograms and more, who suffer from fluid overload and do not respond to medical management, including diuretics, the company added.

Shares of Nuwellis were down more than 5% in Tuesday trading.
