Top Cryptocurrencies Fall; Bitcoin Holds Above $64,000

Top cryptocurrencies fell Friday, with Bitcoin (BTC-USD) down but still holding above $64,000.

The CoinDesk Market Index, which tracks dozens of digital assets including Bitcoin, fell 1.1% in the past 24 hours. The Nasdaq 100 lost 1.2%, the S&P 500 declined 0.1%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 0.4%.

Bitcoin fell 0.9% to $64,146, according to CoinMarketCap data. The most popular cryptocurrency's 24-hour trading volume rose 11.3% to $26.39 billion.

Ethereum (ETH-USD), the second-largest digital asset by market value, dropped 0.5% to $1,861.

XRP (XRP-USD) lost 1.3%, BNB (BNB-USD) fell 0.2%, and Solana (SOL-USD) declined 2.1%. Dogecoin (DOGE-USD) rose 0.2%, and Cardano (ADA-USD) decreased 3.2%.

The US 10-year Treasury yield stood at 5.184% at 3 p.m. ET Friday, down from 5.204% Thursday, while the five-year yield fell to 4.424% from 4.457%.

The total market value of the cryptocurrency industry fell 0.9% in the past 24 hours to $2.19 trillion, with trading volume gaining 6.2% to $62.77 billion.
