Posco International (KRX:047050) posted a 166% year-over-year increase in net income attributable to shareholders of the parent company to 238.4 billion won from 89.8 billion won for the second quarter.

The trading and energy company's sales rose 18% to 9.62 trillion won from 8.13 trillion won for the three months ended June 30, according to a Korea Exchange filing on Thursday.

For the first half, cumulative net income attributable to shareholders was 503.8 billion won, up 74% from 289.5 billion won in the prior-year period, while revenue grew 11% to 18.03 trillion won.
