Beetaloo Energy Australia (ASX:BTL) and Halliburton have entered into a non-binding memorandum of understanding (MOU) to explore collaboration on the proposed Beetaloo Digital integrated power and data center development in Australia's Northern Territory, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.

Halliburton will provide expertise in upstream gas development, drilling, field planning, and power solutions, supporting the company's plan to develop a vertically integrated project that leverages Beetaloo Basin gas resources to power hyperscale data centers and artificial intelligence infrastructure, per the filing.

The 185-hectare Weddell project near Darwin is being developed by a consortium covering gas supply, pipeline infrastructure, power generation, and data center operations, the filing said.

The initiative remains subject to further studies, financing, partnerships, and regulatory approvals, the filing added.

The company's shares fell 2% in recent Thursday trade, hitting a 52-week low.
