0438 GMT - All eyes will be on Rio Tinto over the next few months after a six-month standstill on deal talks with Glencore expires on Aug. 5, Macquarie says. Analysts at the bank say they were surprised by the "distinct lack" of M&A discussion on a 1H results call. Copper "is clearly a commodity Rio likes, and it may look to add [copper] exposure inorganically given its strong balance sheet," the bank says. Macquarie has a neutral rating and A$180.00 target on Rio's Sydney-listed shares. The stock is up 0.9% at A$166.82.
