9:05 ET -- Norwegian Cruise Line is changing the way it prices its cruises in an effort to attract more demand, Chief Executive John Chidsey tells analysts on a call. The company evaluated its prior approach to pricing and marketing, and decided it was holding prices too high for cruises booked far in advance, Chidsey says. That was limiting early demand and resulting in more promotions closer to when ships set sail, he says. Norwegian is now offering lower prices earlier in the booking timeline to build demand and avoid discounting. The company has made these pricing changes on certain trips scheduled for 2027 and 2028, Chidsey says.
