The Nasdaq-100 Index dropped 2.1% today, falling into a correction, or a decline of 10% or more from a recent high. The tech-heavy index is now down 11% from its record close on June 2. It last entered a correction on March 27, bottoming out three days later before moving higher again.
The more well-known Nasdaq composite stands near a correction, off 9.8% from its record close on June 2. The Nasdaq composite will be in a correction if it closes below 24384.51. Today it closed at 24442.94.
