The Philadelphia Housing Index climbed 1.5%, and the State Street Real Estate Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLRE) added 1.1%.
Bitcoin (BTC-USD) increased 0.1% to $63,726, and the yield for 10-year US Treasuries fell 3.7 basis points to 4.604%.
In corporate news, PayPal (PYPL) raised its full-year adjusted earnings guidance after reporting Q2 results above consensus estimates. Its shares gained 4.1%.
