1312 ET - Expedia could be set up to outperform rival Booking Holdings in the near-term because it's more centered in the U.S., Truist analysts say in a research note. Booking faces more exposure to the Middle East, with a mid-single-digit percentage of bookings coming from the region, because the company does more international business, the analysts say. Meanwhile, Expedia's more U.S.-focused business is experiencing more positive trends, putting the company on track to beat 2Q estimates and raise its outlook, they say. "We expect both OTAs to continue to point to regional softness impacting guidance although BKNG is relatively more impacted," they say.
