Sun Silver (ASX:SS1) said it intercepted high-grade silver at its Maverick project in Nevada, US, beyond the site's current mineral resource estimate, according to a Monday filing with the Australian bourse.

Drill results outside the current mineral resource at hole MR26-240 were 8.3 meters at 170 grams per tonne grade of silver equivalent from 266.3 meters, including 4.5 meters at 301 g/t silver equivalent from 266.3 meters, per the filing.

The company reported over 100 meters of cumulative mineralization per hole, confirming extensive antimony mineralization that validates the geological model.

MR26-240 delivered a mineralized intercept totaling 103 meters, including 28.2 meters at 80 g/t silver equivalent from nearly 151 meters, and 16.2 meters at 88 g/t silver equivalent from 205.7 meters.

Meanwhile, MR25-233 delivered a mineralized intercept totaling 114 meters, including nearly 28 meters at 70 g/t silver equivalent from 178.3 meters, and 53.3 meters at 51 g/t silver equivalent from 217.5 meters.
