Update: Chime Shares Rise After Q2 Swings to Profit, Higher 2026 Revenue Guidance

Chime Financial (CHYM) shares rose about 24% in Thursday trading after the company swung to a Q2 profit, exceeded revenue expectations, and raised 2026 guidance.

The company reported Q2 earnings late Wednesday of $0.07 per diluted share, swinging from a loss of $7.29 a year earlier.

Analysts polled by FactSet expected $0.00.

Revenue for the quarter ended June 30 was $669.8 million, up from $528.1 million a year earlier.

Analysts expected $641.3 million.

The company expects Q3 revenue of $680 million to $690 million. Analysts expect $667.6 million.

Chime raised its full-year 2026 revenue guidance to between $2.73 billion and $2.75 billion, up from $2.66 billion to $2.69 billion previously. Analysts expect $2.68 billion.

In a regulatory filing, the company disclosed its reorganization plan, which includes a 10% workforce reduction. Also, the company said Matthew Newcomb will step down from his position as chief financial officer, effective Friday.
