Costco Wholesale's same-store sales continued to tick up in July.

The membership warehouse club reported that net sales for the four weeks ended Aug. 2 rose nearly 11% to $23.12 billion compared with a year earlier.

The retail month of July ended on Aug. 2.

The company reported same-store sales of 8.9%, a slight increase from 8.8% year over year in June, but softer than 12.5% in May and 11.6% in April.

Excluding impacts from gas and foreign exchange, same-store sales rose 6.9% in the U.S. and 4.9% in Canada.
