Stocks were rising Friday after the U.S. jobs report for July was softer than expected, resulting in Wall Street rethinking whether the Federal Reserve will raise interest rates any time soon.

Doximity surged 60%. The medical networking and telehealth platform missed analysts' earnings target but CEO Jeff Tangney talked-up the company's medical artificial-intelligence tools. The company's Doximity Ask AI model outperformed U.S. rivals -- including Anthropic's Fable 5 -- in a recent study by researchers from Stanford and Harvard that evaluated medical AI tools.

Airbnb soared 16% and was the best stock in the S&P 500. The vacation rental site beat second-quarter earnings expectations and raised its full-year outlook, citing accelerating bookings and strong travel demand.

Trade Desk sank 21% and was the worst-performing S&P 500 component. The advertising technology company reported second-quarter revenue that fell short of expectations.

SpaceX shares advanced 6.2% and were on pace to snap a four-week losing streak. SpaceX stock has faced the typical initial public offering problem of locked-up shares. Millions of shares held by early investors and insiders are slowly becoming available to trade. The expectation that early investors take profits has kept a lid on the stock.

Tesla gained 1.6%. Shares of Elon Musk's electric-vehicle company were on pace to end a three-week losing streak.

SK Hynix declined 5% while Micron dropped 2%. SK Hynix said Friday that its board approved 54.3 trillion won ($38.15 billion) in investments for new chip fabrication facilities in South Korea.

Nvidia rose 1.5% to $222.37. The stock has gained 9% in the past five trading sessions, with shareholders seemingly enthusiastic about its coming earnings on Aug. 26.

Rival Advanced Micro Devices fell 0.5%. AMD late Thursday announced a deal to acquire Taalas, a specialist in chips for AI inference -- the process of generating output from models -- for an undisclosed price.

Wendy's added 1%. The fast-food company pulled its full-year outlook on Friday and cut its annual dividend, citing declining customer traffic and shrinking franchisee profits.

Rigetti Computing added 2.7% after the quantum company narrowly beat revenue forecasts as sales of its quantum computers picked up speed in the latest quarter.

Atlassian surged 33% after the collaborative software developer posted better-than-expected results for the fiscal fourth quarter and issued solid guidance.

Cloudflare gained 13% after the cloud platform raised its full-year outlook after reporting double-digit revenue growth for the second quarter.

JFrog rose 8.2% and Twilio advanced 25% after both software companies also reported better-than-expected results.

DoubleVerify advanced 14% to $13.30 after Nielsen said it had agreed to buy the digital advertising data provider for $13.60 a share, or $2.1 billion in cash.
