Gamuda (KLSE:GAMUDA) unit Gamuda Engineering secured a 1.71 billion ringgit contract to construct a hyperscale data center in Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia.

The project was awarded by a US-headquartered multinational technology company, according to a Wednesday Malaysian bourse filing.

The construction works are scheduled to begin in the third quarter of 2026, with completion targeted for the second quarter of 2028.

The scope includes site infrastructure works, core and shell construction, and mechanical, electrical and plumbing fit-out.

Gamuda said the project is expected to contribute positively to its revenue and earnings from the financial year ending July 31, 2027, until completion.
