Galaxy Digital shares fell sharply Wednesday after the company was driven to a loss by the depreciation of digital asset prices.
In morning trading, the shares were 13% lower at $19.36, widening the drop over the last three months to 36%.
The data center infrastructure and digital assets platform company recorded a loss for the second quarter of $85.3 million, or 9 cents a share, from year-earlier income of $30.7 million, or 8 cents.
Galaxy's loss before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization stood at $77 million for the quarter.
Revenue for the three months fell to $8.56 billion from $8.66 billion last year.
