Avnet, Inc. (AVT) reported fiscal Q4 adjusted earnings Wednesday of $2.28 per diluted share, up from $0.81 a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by FactSet expected $1.80.

Revenue for the fiscal quarter ended June 27 was $8.30 billion, up from $5.62 billion a year earlier.

Analysts expected $7.56 billion.

The company expects fiscal Q1 adjusted earnings of $2.80 to $2.90 per share on revenue of $9 billion to $9.30 billion. Analysts expect adjusted earnings of $1.92 on revenue of $7.76 billion.

Shares of the company were up 7.7% in Wednesday premarket trading.
