MKS (MKSI) reported Q2 adjusted earnings late Wednesday of $3.30 per diluted share, up from $1.77 a year earlier.

Analysts polled by FactSet expected $2.91.

Revenue in the three months ended June 30 rose to $1.25 billion, up from $973 million a year earlier.

Analysts projected $1.195 billion.

The company expects Q3 adjusted EPS of $3.58, plus or minus $0.31, on revenue of $1.35 billion, plus or minus $40 million.

Analysts project EPS of $3.21 on revenue of $1.25 billion.

MKS shares rose 1.9% in after-hours trading.
