Instacart reported higher revenue in the second quarter, boosted by additional orders.
The company posted net income of $111 million, down from $116 million the year prior. On a per-share basis, earnings attributable to common stockholders rose to 45 cents a share from 41 cents a share. Analysts polled by FactSet expected 54 cents a share.
Revenue increased to $1.04 billion from $914 million. Wall Street expected $1.03 billion.
Gross transaction value rose 14%, to $10.35 billion, while orders increased 9%, to 90.3 million.
The company guided for third-quarter gross transaction value of $10.3 billion to $10.55 billion and adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization of $320 million to $340 million.
