Cardinal Health Analysts Increase Their Forecasts Following Q4 Results

Cardinal Health, Inc (NYSE:CAH) on Tuesday posted mixed results for the fourth quarter.

The company posted adjusted earnings of $2.91 per share, beating market estimates of $2.42 per share. The company’s sales came in at $63.672 billion, missing expectations of $65.029 billion.

Cardinal Health increased its share repurchase authorization by $5 billion, bringing its total remaining authorization to $6.4 billion as of August 2026.

The company expects fiscal 2027 adjusted earnings of $12.40 to $12.60 per share, above the analyst consensus estimate of $12.04.

“Fiscal 2026 was a standout year for Cardinal Health and I am pleased with our strong fourth quarter results,” said Jason Hollar, CEO of Cardinal Health. “The broad-based operational strength for the year, with all five of our operating segments growing profit double-digits, even before recognition of IEEPA tariff recoveries in GMPD, reflects the disciplined execution of our strategy and our investments for growth. We enter Fiscal 2027 with momentum and confidence in our ability to deliver continued shareholder value creation.”

Cardinal Health shares gained 1.3% to close at $240.26 on Tuesday.

These analysts made changes to their price targets on Cardinal Health following earnings announcement.

  • Baird analyst Eric Coldwell maintained the stock with an Outperform rating and raised the price target from $251 to $274.
  • Wells Fargo analyst Stephen Baxter maintained the stock with an Overweight rating and raised the price target from $245 to $277.
