European Equities Traded in the US as American Depositary Receipts Rise in Tuesday Trading

European equities traded in the US as American depositary receipts were tracking higher late Tuesday morning, rising 0.46% to 1,966.35 on the S&P Europe Select ADR Index.

From continental Europe, the gainers were led by biopharmaceutical company Cellectis (CLLS) and semiconductor company Sequans Communications (SQNS), which advanced 4.7% and 2.6% respectively. They were followed by telecommunications company Nokia (NOK) and medical device maker EDAP TMS (FOCL), which increased 3.2% and 1.3% respectively.

The decliners from continental Europe were led by brewing company Anheuser-Busch InBev (BUD) and biopharmaceutical company DBV Technologies (DBVT), which dropped 3.1% and 1% respectively. They were followed by consumer goods company Unilever (UL) and pharmaceutical company Novo Nordisk (NVO), which were off 0.9% and 1% respectively.

The gainers from the UK were led by biopharmaceutical company Mereo BioPharma Group (MREO) and biotech firm Autolus Therapeutics (AUTL), which surged 27% and 8% respectively. They were followed by biotech company Trinity Biotech (TRIB) and biopharmaceutical company Akari Therapeutics (AKTX), which rose 3.5% and 1% respectively.

The decliners from the UK were led by pharmaceutical company Silence Therapeutics (SLN) and alcoholic beverage company Diageo (DEO), which fell 2% and 1.7% respectively. They were followed by insurance firm Prudential (PUK), which was down 2.1%.
