Prospect Resources (ASX:PSC) expanded a new mineralized zone with thick copper intercepts during step-out drilling at its 90%-owned Mumbezhi project in Zambia, according to a Wednesday filing with the Australian bourse.

Drilling expanded the zone located to the southeast at the Nyungu Central mineralization, with results returning nearly 66 meters at over 0.4% copper from 226 meters, including 17 meters at nearly 0.6% copper from 239 meters and 13 meters at over 0.8% copper from 278 meters, the filing said.

Sixteen diamond drill holes have been completed so far at the southern end of Nyungu Central under third-phase drilling, with four rigs operating, per the filing.

Shares fell 2% in morning trade Wednesday.
