0201 GMT - Asian currencies weaken against the dollar on possible position adjustments ahead of the U.S. CPI data due on Wednesday. This is a "key market event that could push up U.S. interest rates and the USD," CBA's Global Economic & Markets Research team says in a report. "There is a growing minority of FOMC members agitating for an increase in the [Fed] Funds rate," the team says. The U.S. Dollar Index is 0.1% higher at 99.683, while the dollar is 0.3% higher at 158.29 yen and is up 0.6% at 1,416.50 won, according to LSEG data.
