Uber Freight is investigating unauthorized access to part of its systems and repositories, Reuters reported Tuesday, citing company spokesperson Sam Hallock.
The incident was identified, contained and remediated, and Uber Freight's systems remain secure and fully operational with no impact on business operations, Hallock told Reuters. The company also promptly engaged federal law enforcement, the report said.
Reuters said hacking group Helix posted what it claimed were nearly 1 million Uber Freight files on Aug. 6.
The report said Helix is among several names linked to a cluster of recent hacking activity targeting major companies, including Blackstone, KKR, TPG and CME Group.
