Definium Therapeutics Says Anxiety Treatment Met Primary Endpoint in Late-Stage Trial

Definium Therapeutics said a late-stage trial of its treatment for generalized anxiety disorder met its primary endpoint, demonstrating a statistically significant and clinically meaningful improvement compared with placebo.

The biopharmaceutical company on Wednesday said the results mark the second positive late-stage trial readout for the treatment, DT120, which was previously found to help manage major depressive disorder.

DT120 was generally well tolerated in the recent Voyage study, and no new safety signals were identified.

"The unprecedented efficacy demonstrated in Voyage should raise the bar for what patients and clinicians expect from GAD treatments and reinforces our belief that DT120 has the potential to redefine care for the millions of patients in need," Chief Executive Rob Barrow said.
