European Equities Traded in the US as American Depositary Receipts Track Lower in Friday Trading

European equities traded in the US as American depositary receipts were tracking lower late Friday morning, declining 0.35% to 1,962.14 on the S&P Europe Select ADR Index, which is up 0.17% for the week so far.

From continental Europe, the gainers were led by semiconductor company Sequans Communications (SQNS) and petroleum refiner Equinor (EQNR), which rose 3.2% and 2.3%, respectively. They were followed by oil and gas company Eni (E) and telecommunications firm Nokia (NOK), which were up 0.8% and 0.7%, respectively.

The decliners from continental Europe were led by biopharmaceutical companies Cellectis (CLLS) and argenx (ARGX), which dropped 2.5% and 2.1%, respectively. They were followed by biopharmaceutical firm DBV Technologies (DBVT) and biotech company Evaxion (EVAX), which lost 1.8% and 1.6%, respectively.

The gainers from the UK were led by biopharmaceutical company NuCana (NCNA) and biotech firm Trinity Biotech (TRIB), which advanced 4.1% and 3.1% respectively. They were followed by oil and gas companies Shell (SHEL) and BP (BP), which increased 1.7% and 0.9% respectively.

The decliners from the UK and Ireland were led by biotech firm Autolus Therapeutics (AUTL) and biopharmaceutical company Biodexa Pharmaceuticals (BDRX), which fell 7.4% and 3.9% respectively. They were followed by biopharmaceutical companies Bicycle Therapeutics (BCYC) and Akari Therapeutics (AKTX), which were down 2.3% and 1.3% respectively.
