Rigel Pharmaceuticals (RIGL) said Thursday that Veppanu, or vepdegestrant, is now available by prescription in the US to treat adults with breast cancer.
The drug is indicated for adults with estrogen receptor-positive/human epidermal growth factor receptor 2-negative, estrogen receptor 1-mutated advanced or metastatic breast cancer with disease progression following at least one line of endocrine therapy, the commercial-stage company said.
Rigel said the recommended dosage of Veppanu is 200 milligrams taken orally once daily, which is available through its network of specialty distributors and specialty pharmacies in the US and Puerto Rico for $29,400 per 30-day supply.
