AusQuest (ASX:AQD) recommenced its 3,500-meter, 10-hole diamond drilling program at the Coober Pedy iron oxide-copper-gold (IOCG) project in South Australia, targeting magnetic, gravity and induced polarization anomalies associated with potential IOCG mineralization, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.

The project is relatively shallow, with 50 to 150 meters of cover, while historical Vale drilling intersected strong potassic alteration beneath an 80-meter cover sequence, further supporting the area's exploration potential, the filing said.

Drilling is expected to be completed within four weeks, with final assay results anticipated around four weeks thereafter, the filing added.
