Microsoft-backed (MSFT) OpenAI is set to generate annualized revenue of more than $40 billion as per its current performance as the ChatGPT maker gears up for a market debut, Bloomberg reported Friday, citing people familiar with the matter.

The revenue growth represents almost a doubling of its run rate from the end of 2025, helped in part by strength in its AI coding software, the media outlet reported.

OpenAI did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
