1555 ET - U.S. natural gas futures edge up with recovering LNG feedgas and strong pipeline exports to Mexico supporting demand, while near-term heat is likely to keep power-sector use high. "The bullish window still looks fairly short because temperatures begin easing toward normal late in the month, and Thursday's above-expected 36 Bcf storage build expanded the five-year surplus to 198 Bcf," Gelber & Associates says in a note. The rebound "looks more like a response to tighter immediate flows than a broader change in the supply picture." Nymex natural gas settles up 0.2%, at $2.733/mmBtu, for a 2.7% gain on the week.
